Differences between Monjya-yaki and Okonomi-yaki

 We ate Monjya-yaki at Kataoka in the back street. It was very good. I really want to visit there again.

 Although most people know the difference between Monjya-yaki and Okonomi-yaki, please let me write about it to study English.

 The kinds of ingredient are almost same.
 We dissolve both the flours by water. But Monjya-yaki looks like water, and Okonomi-yaki is a little sticky.
 The flour of Monjya-yaki is sauce taste from the beginning. Okonomi-yaki is plain taste. We season Okonomi-yaki with sauce, green laver and dried bonito when eating if we like. In Tokyo we don't use mayonnaise to Okonomi-yaki. However, recently, also people in Tokyo use it. But it's Kansai style.
 If both balls are same size, Okonomi-yaki gives a feeling of fullness to us.


 An other shop sold Monjya-yaki sets, so I bought two bags.


 It was very hard to write about taste and the way of cooking. I was not able to write almost things that I wanted to do.
